Home Buyer System launches cards for brokers
Home Buyer Systems (HBS) unveils a credit and debit card payment facility for mortgage brokers looking to charge a fee for their advice.
The system will allow brokers who do not have a large enough volume of transactions to qualify for an individual plastic card facility to process payments in this way.
The facility will allow brokers to collect fees for advice, research, admin work or any other services via credit and debit card through the HBSLite sourcing system.
In addition, users will have access to a full fee management system to track all payments on cards, via cheque and in cash.
Richard Angliss, managing director of HBS, comments: “The remuneration landscape for mortgage brokers has dramatically altered and brokers are now realising that they need to charge a professional fee for their knowledge and skills.
“This will help them to overcome the problem of dual pricing, which has resulted in uncompetitive intermediary products and falling procuration fees.”
HBS says it will waive a one-off licence fee for brokers signing up to the plastic card payment system before 1 November.
